One Day at a Time Is Still a Strategy

Yo! Reader,

And just like that… another week gone.

Honestly, they’re flying at the moment.

Some weeks feel long when you’re inside them, but when you step back and look at it — it’s like the calendar just keeps flipping pages.

This week has been… better.

Not perfect.
Not exactly where I want things to be.

But better.

And right now, I’ll take better.

BUT FIRST! if you missed last weeks: read it here

Progress Doesn’t Always Feel Satisfying

One thing I’ve noticed about chasing something bigger is this...

Even when things improve, you’re still not content.

This week we had some stronger sales days.

One day cracked $1,000 early.
Some unexpected wins came through.
A few pieces of tech moved quickly.

At one point I listed a handful of items and within a day someone came back asking if we had more. Deal done in about 20 minutes.

Those moments remind you that things do work.

The frustrating part?

You still want more.

Not because you’re ungrateful… but because you can see what could be possible.

Small Tweaks Can Shift the Needle

This week I also made a few adjustments to how we’re working.

Nothing dramatic.

Just small shifts in workflow that should create more output over time.

For example:

  • Adjusting how we allocate time between photos and other tasks
  • Rebalancing who handles certain parts of the process
  • Trying to squeeze a bit more productivity out of the same hours

None of these things feel revolutionary in the moment.

But over weeks and months?

They compound.

And often that’s where progress actually comes from not giant breakthroughs, but small operational improvements stacking up.

The Quiet Challenge Behind the Scenes

Even with the better days, I’ll be honest...

My headspace is still wrestling with things.

When you’re building something you care deeply about, you’re constantly asking questions:

  • Are we moving fast enough?
  • Are we doing the right things?
  • Are we missing something obvious?

It’s easy to feel like you’re waiting for that next big break the moment where everything clicks and the pressure lifts a bit.

But I’m starting to realise something important...

That “break” rarely arrives out of nowhere.

It’s usually the result of months of grinding that finally stack together.

The Real Goal Right Now

More than anything, what I’m focused on right now is building something stronger underneath the business.

A bit of a moat.

Something that protects the operation from the ups and downs that inevitably happen.

Because every business gets hit with things outside its control.

The real question is...

How resilient is the system when those things happen?

That’s what I’m trying to build.

Switching Off (Even If It’s Hard)

This weekend I’m trying to do something simple!

Switch off a little.

Spend some time away from the warehouse.
Get out for a bit.
Clear the head.

I’ll probably still do a little planning because that’s just how my brain works but the goal is to reset.

Because we’re about to roll into the final quarter of the financial year.

And I want to make sure we finish it strong.

Where We Landed This Week

For those who like the numbers:

We finished the week with 200 sales and just over $8,771 in revenue, with a few more still trickling through.

The goal now is to push the next weeks toward the $9k–$9.5k range if momentum holds.

Not quite where I want to be yet but definitely a step in the right direction.

The Lesson This Week

Sometimes the best strategy really is:

One day at a time.

One improvement.
One decision.
One adjustment.
One week stacked on top of the next.

It doesn’t feel glamorous.

But over time?

That’s how things actually move.

Appreciate everyone who continues to follow along, send messages, and show support. It means more than you probably realise.

Anyway…

We charge on.

What else have I been up to?

  • we have been binge watching For All Mankind
  • on a running plan for Run For the Kids and now for some trails too!

If you need anything, hit reply and reach out!

Cheers,

Chris!

Yo! Reader, This week… felt like a shift. Not a “we’ve made it” moment. Not a “everything is solved” moment. But one of those weeks where you step back and go: “Okay… we’re moving again.” And after a stretch of frustration, doubt, and questioning everything… That matters more than people realise. Actually we have done our best week ever... in top line Revenue over $13.9k BUT FIRST! if you missed last weeks: read it here When You’re Above Water, You Think Differently One of the biggest...

Yo! Reader, This week felt different. Not perfect. Not magical. Not “we’ve made it” different. But different in the kind of way that reminds you what’s possible when things finally start to click again. And after a few tougher weeks, I won’t lie… I needed that. Maybe you do too. BUT FIRST! if you missed last weeks: read it here There’s A Big Difference Between Surviving and Building One thing I was reminded of this week is just how different life feels when you’re not stuck in survival mode....

Yo! Reader, I’m going to keep this one real. This week, I’ve felt frustrated.Flat.Wound up.A bit over it, if I’m honest. And I know that might annoy some people. It might make me sound too emotional, too reactive, too invested. But that’s exactly the point. I am invested. When you care deeply about what you’re building, when it means something to you, when it’s not just a side hobby or a means to an end you feel it differently. The highs hit. The lows hit harder. And this week reminded me of...
