PERSPECTIVE is everything...

Yo! Reader,

This week… felt like a shift.

Not a “we’ve made it” moment.
Not a “everything is solved” moment.

But one of those weeks where you step back and go:

“Okay… we’re moving again.”

And after a stretch of frustration, doubt, and questioning everything…

That matters more than people realise.

Actually we have done our best week ever... in top line Revenue over $13.9k

BUT FIRST! if you missed last weeks: read it here

When You’re Above Water, You Think Differently

One of the biggest takeaways for me this week was this:

When you’re below your baseline… you think about survival.

When you’re above it… you think about growth.

That’s it.

That’s the difference.

When things aren’t working, your brain is consumed by:

  • fixing problems
  • covering gaps
  • reacting

But when things start working again even slightly you unlock something else:

Clarity. Creativity. Control.

And that’s where real progress begins.

The Truth Most People Miss

From the outside, people will always judge results.

But they don’t see the context.

They don’t see:

  • the costs behind growth
  • the infrastructure being built
  • the people being supported
  • the risks being taken

They just see a number and decide if it’s “good” or “bad.”

But building something meaningful?

It’s messy.

It’s expensive.
It’s uncertain.
It takes longer than expected.

And most people won’t understand that… because they’re not building anything themselves.

Progress Doesn’t Always Look Like Winning

This week wasn’t perfect.

There were still frustrations.
Still doubts.
Still moments of “what am I missing?”

But there were also:

  • better days
  • stronger sales
  • more consistency
  • real signs of momentum

And that’s the part you have to learn to recognise.

Because progress isn’t always loud.

Sometimes it’s just:

Less bad… becoming slightly better.

And if you can stack enough of those weeks?

That’s how things turn.

The Game You’re Actually Playing

Here’s something I had to remind myself of this week:

I’m not trying to beat anyone else.

I’m not trying to prove anyone wrong.

I’m trying to build something better than what I had yesterday.

That’s it.

Because the moment you start comparing your journey to someone else’s…

You lose.

Different goals.
Different timelines.
Different risks.
Different definitions of success.

Stay in your lane.

The Hard Part (That No One Talks About)

The hardest part isn’t the work.

It’s managing your own head when things aren’t going to plan.

  • When people doubt you
  • When results don’t match effort
  • When you start questioning yourself

That’s the real battle.

And this week reminded me:

You don’t need to feel good to keep going.

You just need to keep going.

This Week’s Reality Check (Zooming Out)

Now here’s where it gets interesting…

Because while it’s easy to get caught in the week-to-week emotions…

The bigger picture tells a different story.

  • 90 Day Total: $100,164
  • Up 11.88% year-on-year (CY)
  • Profit this time last year: -$502
  • Profit this year: $4,584

Let that sink in.

More costs.
More complexity.
More pressure.

And yet…

Better performance. Better profit. Better position.

The Lesson

The start of the year is always tough.

It’s slower.
It’s heavier.
It tests you.

But if you can push through it…

You set yourself up for everything that comes after.

And this week?

Was a reminder that:

Even when it feels hard… you might already be doing better than you think.

Final Thought

You don’t need everything to be perfect.

You don’t need instant wins.

You don’t need validation from others.

You just need to:

  • keep showing up
  • keep adjusting
  • keep learning
  • keep moving

Because momentum doesn’t arrive all at once…

It builds.

And I think just quietly

we’re starting to build again.

Appreciate you being here.

Yo yo yo! Reader, Some weeks you feel unstoppable. Other weeks feel like you're spending all your time reacting. This was one of those weeks. Trades didn't arrive when they were supposed to. Collections got delayed. Staff had family commitments. A camera return turned into a difficult customer situation. Rain made warehouse work harder than it needed to be. Even simple plans seemed to require three backup plans. A few years ago that would've completely thrown me. Now? It's just business. Also...

Yo yo yo! Reader, There's a funny thing that happens when your business grows. You spend years dreaming about having more opportunities… …and then one day you wake up and realise your biggest challenge isn't finding opportunities anymore. It's choosing which ones deserve your attention. That was this week. Also if you are needing a game changing legend of an accountant, Ethan is your guy! Yo yo yo! Reader, This week felt like a milestone. After weeks of planning, measuring, moving and reorganising, the new pallet racking finally went in. In less than an hour, one of the biggest operational projects we've tackled this year was standing in the warehouse and almost immediately, it started filling up. On the surface, it looks like shelving. In reality, it's capacity. Capacity for more stock. More consignments. More opportunities. More live shows. More moving parts. And judging by...
