When the Numbers Dip, Don’t Let Your Standards Dip With Them

Yo Yo Reader,

This week has been… interesting.

Not terrible.
Not amazing.
Just one of those weeks where the numbers show up — but not the way you want them to.

We’re seeing results.

Just not the results I’m chasing.

And that gap?
That’s where your mindset gets tested.

if you missed last weeks: read it here

When You’re Caught in the Middle

I’ve felt it this week.

On one side, there are people ahead of me saying:

“Ride the wave. It’s normal. Stay steady.”

On the other side, there’s noise. Panic. Negativity.

And then there’s me stuck in the middle asking:

Am I doing something wrong?

But here’s what I keep coming back to:

We’ve built this to this point already.
That didn’t happen by accident.

So instead of asking, “What’s broken?”
I’m asking:

  • Where are we getting complacent?
  • What can we tighten up?
  • What can we improve that’s still within our control?

That shift alone changes everything.

Core Slow. Future Growing.

Right now, the core part of the business has softened.

But here’s the interesting part:

The work I’ve been doing 90 days ahead?
That’s starting to show signs of life.

Networking this week alone generated opportunities we wouldn’t have even seen a year ago.

New partnerships are forming.
New revenue channels are warming up.
Processes we’ve been refining are starting to click.

The present might feel tight.
But the future is quietly building.

And that’s the job.

When Pressure Hits the System

There’s real pressure out there right now.

People are stretched. Costs are rising. Confidence wobbles.

I feel it too.

Two mortgages. Staff. Rent. Overheads.

It would be easy to let that turn into panic.

But panic doesn’t solve anything.

Action does.

The Question I’m Asking Myself

If you’re feeling the squeeze here’s the question I’m asking myself, and I’ll pass it on to you:

Are you slipping… or are you simply in a cycle?

Because there’s a difference.

A cycle is temporary.

Slipping is internal.

If it’s a cycle ride it, adjust, tighten, stay disciplined.

If you’ve slipped own it. Fix it. Move.

Control What You Can Control

This week hasn’t been about dramatic wins.

It’s been about:

  • Staying composed.
  • Continuing to build.
  • Refining what’s within reach.
  • Not letting short-term numbers rewrite long-term belief.

Long term, I’m confident we win.

Not because it’s easy.

But because we don’t stop adjusting.

Your Challenge This Week

If things feel tight… ask yourself:

  • Where have you become comfortable?
  • What are you tolerating that you shouldn’t be?
  • What small lever can you pull today to regain control?

You don’t need to solve everything.

You just need to move something.

Stay steady.

We charge on.

What else have I been up to?

  • still setting up our house, I have my office desk and working space now in full operation!
  • been dedicating 1 hour of video games a night, currently playing Fallout 4, always been watching Karla play Zelda TOTK
  • we are back in the gym 3x a week and have signed up for our first Running event for end of March

Cheers,

Chris!

Yo yo yo! Reader, This week reminded me of something I think we all forget from time to time... You can be doing all the right things and still have a bad day. You can be showing up. Doing the work. Following the plan. Making progress. And still look at the scoreboard and think: "What the heck happened?" That was my week. One day we were flying. The next day felt like someone had turned the tap off. Nothing changed. Same effort. Same process. Same commitment. Different result. And that's when...

Yo yo yo! Reader, This week felt like a reminder of just how quickly life can change when momentum starts stacking in your favour. Not overnight. Not magically. But through enough small decisions, enough uncomfortable moments, enough reps… that eventually things begin to compound. And honestly? That’s the part most people never see. They see the “best week.”They see the numbers. They see the excitement. But they don’t see the years spent trying to figure out how to even make $3,000 in a week…...

Yo yo yo! Reader, Another week. Another blur. And honestly… I think I’ve finally figured out why. It’s not because life is moving too fast. It’s not because there’s “too much going on.” It’s because… When you’re truly building something… standing still isn’t an option. And this week reminded me of that in a big way. quick side step... looking for last weeks newsletter? (here) Lets continue on... The Problem Isn’t The Problem… This week, I found myself asking a different question. Not… “Why is...
