When things start to click again...

Yo! Reader,

This week felt different.

Not perfect. Not magical. Not “we’ve made it” different.

But different in the kind of way that reminds you what’s possible when things finally start to click again.

And after a few tougher weeks, I won’t lie…

I needed that.

Maybe you do too.

BUT FIRST! if you missed last weeks: read it here

There’s A Big Difference Between Surviving and Building

One thing I was reminded of this week is just how different life feels when you’re not stuck in survival mode.

When you’re barely covering the basics, all your energy goes into getting through the day.

You stop thinking creatively.
You stop thinking long-term.
You stop thinking about growth.

Because all you can think about is:

How do I just get back to baseline?

But when things begin to stabilise... even a little... your headspace changes.

You breathe deeper.
You think clearer.
You can finally ask a better question:

What would it look like to move forward, not just hold on?

That shift matters more than most people realise.

Momentum Changes More Than Results

This week wasn’t just better because of numbers.

It was better because of what momentum does to your mind.

It changes how you show up.
It changes how you solve problems.
It changes how you carry yourself.

When a few things start going right, you remember that you’re not broken.
You remember the plan still works.
You remember that progress is often one good week away from feeling possible again.

And sometimes that’s all you need not certainty, just evidence.

A reminder that the effort is doing something.

Perspective also counts... though things feel down, where are compared to last year?

We are actually 8.16% UP...

12 weeks in:

2025 = $89,302
2026 = $96,592

Small Wins Are Bigger Than They Look

A lot of people overlook the power of small wins because they’re too busy waiting for giant breakthroughs.

But this week reminded me that little things stack.

A returning customer.
A conversation that opens a new door.
A new opportunity landing in your lap.
A process finally showing signs of working.
A little more consistency.
A little more rhythm.
A little more belief.

None of those things alone may feel life-changing.

But together?

They can completely shift your week.
Sometimes even your whole outlook.

That’s why you can’t afford to dismiss the little wins.

They are often the beginning of the bigger one.

The Real Challenge Isn’t Having a Good Week

The real challenge is this:

Can you repeat it?

That’s the question I’m asking myself right now.

Because anyone can have a random good day.
A lucky break.
A one-off win.

But building something meaningful means learning how to create rhythm.

How do you replicate what worked?
How do you keep the momentum going?
How do you avoid wasting the good week by treating it like a finish line?

That’s the game.

Not getting excited by one step forward…

But turning one good week into two.
Then three.
Then a season.

Life Still Happens While You’re Building

Even with a good week, life doesn’t stop being life.

Unexpected costs show up.
Plans change.
Energy gets tested.
Things break.
People need you.
The world keeps moving.

That doesn’t mean you’re off track.

That means you’re living in the real world.

And part of growth is learning not to romanticise progress.

Progress isn’t neat.
It doesn’t arrive in perfect conditions.
It happens while things are still messy.

That’s actually what makes it real.

Don’t Forget To Enjoy What You’re Building

Something else I’ve been reminded of lately:

It can’t always be grind, stress, and chasing the next result.

There has to be room for life too.

Dinner with your person.
Training for something that matters.
Getting back to your fitness.
Doing things that make you feel like
you again.

Because what’s the point of building something better if you never let yourself live inside it?

Growth should support your life.
Not replace it.

This Week’s Reminder

Ride the waves.

That’s really it.

Some weeks will feel like nothing is landing.
Some weeks will feel like the tide is finally turning.

Neither one lasts forever.

So when things are hard, stay steady.
And when things are flowing, stay grateful but stay focused.

Because momentum is precious.

And when it comes back around, you owe it to yourself to use it well.

Appreciate you being here.

What else have I been up to?

  • we have been binge watching For All Mankind (starting season 3 this week)
  • also we have been playing Diablo 4 on the weekends! Love it
  • on a running plan for Run For the Kids and now for some trails too!

If you need anything, hit reply and reach out!

Cheers,

Chris!

Yo! Reader, This week… felt like a shift. Not a “we’ve made it” moment. Not a “everything is solved” moment. Yo! Reader, And just like that… another week gone. Honestly, they’re flying at the moment. Some weeks feel long when you’re inside them, but when you step back and look at it — it’s like the calendar just keeps flipping pages. This week has been… better. Not perfect. Not exactly where I want things to be. But better. And right now, I’ll take better. Yo! Reader, I’m going to keep this one real. This week, I’ve felt frustrated.Flat.Wound up.A bit over it, if I’m honest. And I know that might annoy some people. It might make me sound too emotional, too reactive, too invested. But that’s exactly the point. I am invested. When you care deeply about what you’re building, when it means something to you, when it’s not just a side hobby or a means to an end you feel it differently. The highs hit. The lows hit harder. And this week reminded me of...
