When You’ve Done Everything Right… and It Still Feels Wrong

Yo Yo Reader,

Wrapping up last week, my head’s been in two places.

When I’m busy, building, moving, solving…
I’m not thinking about the problems.

When I slow down?

That’s when the questions creep in.

And I think that’s true for most of us.

if you missed last weeks: read it here

The Frustration of “Doing the Right Things”

Here’s the tension:

You show up.
You put in the work.
You improve the process.
You try new angles.
You push yourself outside your comfort zone.

And still… the results don’t immediately reflect the effort.

That’s frustrating.

Not because you expect overnight success... but because you expect momentum.

This week reminded me of something important:

You can do all the right things… and still go through a flat patch.

That doesn’t mean you’re failing.

It means you’re in the middle.

Changing the Game (Without Changing Your Values)

I tried something new this week.

Something I was nervous about.

Putting myself more out there.
Trying a different format.
Leaning into something I wasn’t fully comfortable with.

And you know what?

It felt good.

Not because it exploded.
Not because it was perfect.

But because I didn’t hide from it.

Growth rarely feels clean.

It feels awkward.
It feels exposed.
It feels uncertain.

But it also feels alive.

The Trap of Comparison

Here’s the dangerous part:

When you’re not seeing the lift you want, and you see others saying they are.

That’s when your confidence gets tested.

“Why not me?”

It’s a natural thought.

But it’s also a distraction.

Because the only real question is:

Am I doing what I can control today?

Not:

  • Are they ahead?
  • Are they winning?
  • Is this fair?

Just:

Did I show up?
Did I execute?
Did I move something forward?

If the answer is yes... you’re still in the game.

Momentum Is Built in Quiet Weeks

Some weeks are loud.

Some weeks are validating.

And some weeks are quiet but foundational.

This week didn’t feel explosive.

But:

  • Systems improved.
  • Confidence grew.
  • Courage increased.
  • New paths opened.
  • Reps were taken.

That counts.

Not everything valuable shows up on a scoreboard immediately.

The Bigger Question

As February ticks by, here’s what I’m leaving you with:

What have you done this week that future you will thank you for?

Not what worked.

Not what paid off.

But what you did anyway.

Because showing up when it’s inconvenient…
staying disciplined when it’s frustrating…
continuing when it’s quiet…

That’s the difference.

If you did your part this week even if the world didn’t clap for it... You’re still building.

And sometimes that’s enough.

Appreciate you being here.

What else have I been up to?

  • Finishing GOT TKOTSK, this has been amazing!
  • have a new side business which is also starting to get some traction
  • we are back in the gym 3x a week and have signed up for our first Running event for end of March

Yo yo yo! Reader, This week reminded me of something I think we all forget from time to time... You can be doing all the right things and still have a bad day. You can be showing up. Doing the work. Following the plan. Making progress. And still look at the scoreboard and think: "What the heck happened?" That was my week. One day we were flying. The next day felt like someone had turned the tap off. Nothing changed. Same effort. Same process. Same commitment. Different result. And that's when...

Yo yo yo! Reader, This week felt like a reminder of just how quickly life can change when momentum starts stacking in your favour. Not overnight. Not magically. But through enough small decisions, enough uncomfortable moments, enough reps… that eventually things begin to compound. And honestly? That’s the part most people never see. They see the “best week.”They see the numbers. They see the excitement. But they don’t see the years spent trying to figure out how to even make $3,000 in a week…...

Yo yo yo! Reader, Another week. Another blur. And honestly… I think I’ve finally figured out why. It’s not because life is moving too fast. It’s not because there’s “too much going on.” It’s because… When you’re truly building something… standing still isn’t an option. And this week reminded me of that in a big way. quick side step... looking for last weeks newsletter? (here) Lets continue on... The Problem Isn’t The Problem… This week, I found myself asking a different question. Not… “Why is...
